2010-2011 Final PI Project Presentations (May 6 & May 25)

The Basics:

- 15 min presentation per group + 3 min questions

- On 5/6, presentations will start a 0800. Email your presentations by 1600 on 5/5.

- On 5/25, presentations will start at 0745. Email your presentations by 1600 on 5/24.

- If presentations are not emailed to Jenn ahead of time, they will not be able to be viewed by both WRAMC and NNMC audiences.

Structure for Presentation:

* Each presentation should have a “Title Slide” with the TITLE of your study and a list of ALL MEMBERS of your continuity-clinic group.

* FOCUS-PDCA Format:

• See http://www.nccpeds.com/FOCUSPDCA.pdf for explanation of terms.
• In the first 5 min, review the “FOCUS” part of the acronym (i.e. the elements of your PI Proposal from December). This section can contain any of the background literature or data you used to guide your study.
• In the last 10 min, detail the “PDCA” part of the acronym:
• PLAN the improvement/data collection: This is your study “design”
• DO the improvement/data collection: This is your “methods”
• CHECK the data for process improvement: This is your “results” & “analysis”
• ACT to continue the improvement: This is your “conclusion” & “future steps”

· Some groups may have gone through the PDCA Cycle more than once (i.e. tried one improvement, it didn’t work, so tried another improvement). If so, you can divide your presentation into PDCA Cycle 1, PDCA Cycle 2, and so on.
