Resident Advisors

The program, through the Education Committee, uses the advisor system to allow another channel of providing feedback and advice to residents.  Advisors are chosen because of their experience and ability to provide mentorship.

Goals of academic manager/advising system:

1.  Have someone other than just the residency directors giving feedback on a regular basis.

2. Increase resident feedback, encourage residents to be active in their learning and promote self-reflection.

The portfolio of an advisee’s performance to date is kept in their residency binder, located in the coordinator’s office.  Advisors can check out the binder to review before, during, or after their meetings with your advisee.
