All Staff Updates

NEW: AYA Clinic Updates

The Adolescent & Young Adult Medicine Clinic will temporarily be pausing new PCM switches to AYA for patients 12-15 years old.

For primary care, we will only be empaneling patients 16-25 years old in our clinic going forward.

We will continue to accept consults for all patients ages 12-25 years for a variety of reasons such as eating disorders, acne and Accutane, menstrual disorders, contraception, concussions, headaches, depression/anxiety, PrEP. If you have any questions about consults to AYA, please message our Adolescent & Young Adult Medicine group on AMS connect or email us.

If a 16-25 year old patient wants to switch their PCM from the WRNMMC Peds Clinic to AYA, please DO NOT enter a referral for this reason. For Walter Reed Peds Clinic patients only, please send our clinic manager, Ms. Charmoine (Charlee) Draughn in MHS Genesis and she can make the switch for the patient. She can only make these switches for patients whose current PCM is at Walter Reed. Any patients NOT already empaneled to a PCM at Walter Reed will need to make their PCM change online on Milconnect or they can call Humana Military to make that PCM switch (800-444-5445).
