Play of the Week:

Play of the Week this week goes to Dr. Victoria Smith who received multiple shoutouts by multiple attendings for the care she provided to a medically complex PICU patient and his family. Of note, she received two separate play of the week submissions: 1) "The PICU team would like to recognize Dr. Victoria Smith for her exemplary performance in caring for a high-acuity neurocritical patient. Her clinical acumen, compassionate care, and professionalism were evident to all. Outstanding work and much appreciation from the entire PICU team" 2) "Dr. Victoria Smith went above and beyond on our 8 year old medically complex Medevac patient who arrived from Spain Friday evening. She stayed late ensuring all orders/NSG imaging requests were taken care of. Sat am there was a mid-level covering PICU but she still prepared detailed formal rounds and presented this patient to the PICU attending herself. Her investment in patient care is truly impressive." Way to go, Victoria! We hope you feel appreciated for all your hard work! Also to Dr. Erin Scroggins and her husband Chase on the birth of their baby boy Stellan. So happy for you all - he is so cute!

Also to Dr. Kicker for her 21 years of service taking care of our Nation's military children! We will miss you- Congratulations on your retirement! :) We will miss you!
