  • Do you want to learn more about sports medicine, concussions, sexually transmitted infections, contraception and menstrual disorders, mental health disorders, sexual minority and transgender care, substance abuse, eating disorders, and primary care for adolescents and young adults?

  • Then our Adolescent Medicine fellowship is for you!

  • Located at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, we are one of the largest adolescent medicine fellowships in the country (the only one in the MHS) and accept applicants from Peds, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine. Please see the attached picture to learn more about our fellowship.

  • We will be hosting a Zoom call on Wednesday 17 August at 1800 CST. AAP SOPT Leadership Positions Available

  • SOPT Executive Committee and Leadership Council. Many of the open positions offer residents and fellowship trainees funding for travel to the AAP National Conference and the ability to gain important leadership skills over their 1-year term. The deadline is August 15th to apply.


PI/QI: Next Session is August 23rd

  • Our knowledge burst will be on eIRB submissions

  • A3 Steps 3-5 should be complete

  • Please assign your team lead and notify your stakeholders!


CATCH Grant Program District Resident Liaison Application (PGY-1 and PGY-2s Only)

  • Community Access to Child Health, CATCH supports pediatricians in their efforts to collaborate within their communities to advance the health of all children. If you are unfamiliar with the program, you can take a look at their website (https://www.aap.org/CATCH).

AMSUS Annual Meeting 2023: February 13-16th at the Gaylord National Resort & Conference Center, National Harbor, MD

  • Poster Presentations

    • AMSUS is currently accepting poster abstracts at https://www.amsus.org/2023-poster-submission-information/

    • The first 100 approved submissions will be invited to present at the in-person Poster Session on Wednesday 15 February. Space is limited; early submissions have the greatest chance of acceptance. The submissions portal will be disabled as soon as the first 100 submissions have been approved—long before the 15 October hard deadline.

    • REMINDER: Before submitting your abstract to AMSUS, be sure to get USU presentation approval through ServiceNow

  • Awards

    • AMSUS honors the contributions of outstanding federal healthcare professionals each year through the Awards Program. Fifteen awards are available. The AMSUS Awards portal is now open! Visit https://www.amsus.org/professional-development/amsus-awards-program/ to learn more about the AMSUS Awards and begin the nomination process. The Awards portal closes on October 15.

  • Registration

    • Registration rates for the 2023 AMSUS Annual Meeting will be posted on the AMSUS website by mid-August. The registration portal will open in mid-September.
