NEW Resident Research Opportunity

  • COL Edwards is looking for interested residents to assist with two upcoming research projects:

    • MHS wide survey looking at palliative medicine knowledge gaps in MSH clinicians and how they compare to our civilian counterparts

    • Impact of a formal communication program on climate, culture, and burnout in the Department of Pediatrics looking at pre, post and follow up data.

NEW 2025 Partnership for Military Child and Family Health Research Symposium

  • This annual event host by USU Department of Pediatrics will be held April 2, 2025 and includes a poster session, which is an opportunity to feature recent research focused on the health and well-being of military children.  

  • Previously submitted/presented research is eligible for consideration. In person attendance is not required to have a poster displayed. If you submitted to the Pediatric Academic Societies conference, please consider submitting to this event.

  • Call for Research: Open now - February 10, 2025

Submission Information for the Walter Reeds Annual Research & Innovation Month

  • It's time to start preparing your abstracts for Research & Information month!

  • Submissions are due by January 26, 2025 (see attachment below for timelines)

  • Sasha Velour is a visual artist, speaker, illustrator and activist

  • Contact Noelle Molter if interested in attending! Tickets will be $30-$50 depending on final group size


CATCH Grant Applications- NOW OPEN!

  • CATCH stands for Community Access to Child Health and offers funding for pediatricians and pediatric residents to perform projects addressing healthcare disparities in their communities

  • The application portal will be open November 1, 2024 to January 21, 2025
