USU Teaching Opportunities
NEW Longitudinal Clinical Skills for MD/PhD students
Volunteers will help lead hour long case-based discussion to a small group of students in USU's combined MD/PhD program. These students have completed their pre-clerkship phase of medical school and are doing research for their PhD before moving on to clerkships.
Upcoming sessions: Headache 3/6/25, Neonatal Fever 04/10/25, Lumbar Puncture 5/08/25. All sessions are from 0900-1000.

Designed to mimic a clinic half day, each faculty member will be in an MDL room with your particular case. The students have 30 minutes with you to go through the case/skills. The students will move. You stay put and will deliver the same content 5 times to groups of 9-10 students.

2025 Partnership for Military Child and Family Health Research Symposium
This annual event host by USU Department of Pediatrics will be held April 2, 2025 and includes a poster session, which is an opportunity to feature recent research focused on the health and well-being of military children.
Previously submitted/presented research is eligible for consideration. In person attendance is not required to have a poster displayed. If you submitted to the Pediatric Academic Societies conference, please consider submitting to this event.

For supervisor ID: direct it to your ARMY ADVISOR

For the checklist - When out of training these are items that will result in leave not being approved. I will NOT be rejecting leave, but if there are things overdue we need a plan to get updated. If you have a lot of overdue items and you are doing OCONUS or leave requiring commanders signature this could cause issues, but we’ll address that if it comes up.
Here’s how you should answer Checklist:
1 – in JKO ensure that your annual cyberawareness, Hippa, level 1 antiterrorism training are done
