Play of the Week:

Play of the Week this week goes to all of our wonderful PGY3s on their graduation- we will miss them so much!

Also, I have some awesome plays of the week this week:

  • Dr. Katy Crandall for a perfect champagne tap on a febrile infant overnight, coached by her stellar senior resident, Dr. Leanne Perez

  • Dr. Nicole Saporito for seamlessly intubating a critically ill neonate in the delivery room

  • Dr. Kaitlyn Yeh & Dr. Ellie Dullea for successfully counseling a hesitant family into receiving Vitamin K on the newborn nursery

  • Dr. Mckenzie Bowling for being the first NCC Peds resident on completing her Lifestyle Medicine Residency Curriculum- she can now sit for the Lifestyle Medicine Board!

  • Dr. Melanie Yonko: she went all out to get a patient an emergent MRI on a weekend. He has microcephaly and global developmental delay and presented with acute onset of inabiliy to walk with gait changes in the setting of a recent ear infection.

  • Dr. Grace Manno and Dr. Katy Crandall for expedited workup/ intervention of a 22 month old male with duplicated collection system and high grade VUR. They made critical clinical decisions that included placing the patient on the right antibiotics prior to their surgical interventions which led to a positive patient outcome.

Also, I can't believe I'm saying this, but this will be my last plan of the week! Thank you all for an amazing year❤️
