Play of the Week:
Play of the week to Billy Bennett for his outstanding service on the PICU and ward this weekend. Not only did he expertly place a right internal jugular central venous line in a PICU patient, but he also took excellent care of all of the patients on the general pediatrics and hematology-oncology service. Well done, Billy!
Bravo to Jane Crotteau for her exemplary performance as the "3rd Deck Surge Resident" earlier this block. The PICU staff specifically commented on Jane's impressive commitment to the patients and excellent closed-loop communication to ensure a safe resident coverage plan was in place. She read about the patients ahead of time and was always ready and willing to jump in when the census surged. Many thanks to Jane for her stellar performance and teamwork!
