Plan of the Week: May 5th - May 11th

Updated: May 10, 2024

Plays of the Week:

Happy start to Block 12! I hope everyone has had a relaxing weekend! We had a busy and exciting week with the Continuity Clinic Field Trip to Arlington Cemetery, the NCR Research Competition Presentations, and the Resident Retreat this weekend. We now go into the 2nd half of the NCR Competition and ANC Field Trip, as well as Nurse Appreciation Week, Colonel Sterbis' GME Address, and the Intern CSA.

Dr. Hepps will be TDY this week from Monday to Thursday, Dr. Zanetti will be Acting PD, and of course do not hesitate to reach out to me if there is anything that you need.

A huge thank you to Dr. Hopkins, Dr. Cole, Dr. Arora, Dr. Hill, Dr. Harrell, Dr. Haischer-Rollo, Dr. Graziose, and Dr. Toro who covered for the residents this weekend during the retreat!

Play of the week to Dr. Friedman, who set up a great Continuity Clinic Field Trip at Arlington Cemetery, specifically the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A very powerful experience.

Play of the week to Dr. Emily Ferraro, Dr. Alexis Ghersi, Dr. Brian Fissel, Dr. Kevin Westbrook, Dr. Daniel Rochford, Dr. Amy Davis, Dr. Karina Kauffman Brown, Dr. Madeleine Mascitti, Dr. Samantha Hanciles, and Dr. Marianna Caballero, who all presented at the NCR Research Competition this past week. Great job everyone!

Additional play of the week to Dr. Karina Kauffman Brown! She handled a challenging IUD insertion in the Adolescent Clinic with ease - when the insertion ended up not going as planned, she remained cool and calm, asked for help, and then was she was able to complete the IUD insertion successfully. Great work!
