Plan of the Week: June 23rd-June 29th

Plays of the Week:

Play of the week to Dr. Genesis James, who efficiently identified the need for workup and gave recommendations to the ED for a patient ultimately diagnosed with Intussuception. Great catch!

Play of the week to Dr. Amy Davis, Dr. Kevin Westbrook, and Dr. Nicole Martin, who have all stepped into the PGY-3 role seamlessly and exhibited excellent clinical decision-making and leadership skills.

Additional play of the week to Dr. Robert Crutcher and Dr. Nicole Martin, who brought back the Resident-Faculty Kickball game! Residents pulled out an 11-5 victory. Way to bring back a great NCC tradition.

As this is my final Plan of the Week, I wanted to thank you all for allowing me to be your Chief Resident this year. I am truly honored to have served in this position, and am incredibly proud to be part of the patient-centered care and the accomplishments of the residents. NCC Peds is a special place and program, and I look forward to seeing the continued success from these residents and the stellar faculty. I official pass off to Emily Ferraro next week, and I know she will be excellent in continuing to grow the program. A special thank you to Dr. Hepps, who was an amazing leader and source of guidance through everything this year.

- Jack
