THIS WEEK: Continuity Clinic Field Trip

  • This year's CC field trip will be to the Electronic Marksmanship Simulator Training, located at Building 147, behind Lot Z, about a 15-minute walk from clinic. Plan to meet in the precepting room NLT 1230 (estimated end time ~1500).

  • The training allows for simulated firing of the M4 and M17. Those who are not actively shooting will receive Army Warrior Task training.

  • On your assigned day your Amion will show  “PM CC” but you will not be seeing patients in clinic.

    • Group 2 (Tuesday, May 27): Kolade, Manno, Perez, Smith, Spirnak, Sukenaga, Bowling, Morgis, Raymond, Dahlquist,  Mascitti, Westbrook 


THIS WEEK Academic Half-Day Schedule (Wednesday, 28 MAY): Peds GI

  • Agenda

    • 1250-1330- PI/QI Working Session

      • Rising PGY-2s/Current Interns- Desert Conference Room (2nd Floor, America Building). Plan to solidify AY 25-26 projects!

      • Current PGY-2s and Graduating PGY-3s-Resident Room. Plan to meet with your yellow belts/faculty mentors in the resident or precepting room.

  • The SOUS Leadership Team is introducing a new practice management webinar series for military pediatricians. The first session is on Mastering Genesis this Thursday, May 29 from 1000-1100 EST.

  • Reminder to check your BLS expiration dates and sign-up early for recertification courses

  • Follow the steps below to sign up for a recertification class

    • Click “Course Library”

    • Search “BLS”

    • Sign-up for either Blended (requires pre-work) or Challenge Course

      • Note courses fill fast. Sign up 1-2 months prior to BLS expiration

      • If challenge courses are full on relias, reach out to POCs below to see if they will accept an add-on

Study Participants Needed!

  • The Department of Pediatrics at USU is looking for military-connected young adult participants (18-22 years old) for participation in semi-structured 45 minute interviews to understand the experiences of military-connected young adult dependents with their overall wellbeing and mental health. Dependents of veterans are included.

  • The interviews take place virtually and participants are compensated $40.
